A couple of days after seeing
Zack Mr Monkey went back to the Royal Exchange to see a collection of snapshots by Greg Hersov.

Greg Hersov is one of the three Artistic Directors of the Royal Exchange, and has produced many plays for the Theatre.
It seems that when he's going to produce a play set in a real place, he likes to take a holiday in that area to get a feel for the locale - how workplaces look, the way the locals talk and so on.
This exhibition is made up of photographs taken on these trips, with notes about the play or the area. These range from finding out how four roads in Paris could cause a family row in Coward's
Hay Fever to experiencing racial tension in Mississippi when researching James Baldwin's
Blues for Mister Charlie. The pictures aren't professionally taken, and don't claim to be, but they're important because they've inspired or influenced productions at the Royal Exchange.
Mr Monkey thinks it's an interesting collection of photographs (selected by Maxine Laing), with very interesting commentaries.
