At the bottom of Horse Guards Parade Mr Monkey looked at the memorial to the men of the Foot Guards who died in the Great War. He studied the figures, one each from the Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots, Irish and Welsh Guards, and decided he could only tell the difference between regiments by the badges carved beneath their feet. Mr Monkey scampered along and passed the National Police Memorial, which is built around a London Underground ventilation shaft, on his way to the Mall.
