Mr Monkey in Seattle, 28th January

"You wouldn't expect a statue to be able to run away from a mine"

Mr Monkey in Tonkin Park in Renton Mr Monkey looking at Donkey Run Away From the Mines

Mr Monkey went for a short walk in Renton. The local history museum was shut, because it was Sunday, but he did find a reminder of Renton's history as a mining town in the statue Donkey Run Away From The Mines in Tonkins Park. Tonkins Park itself is on the site of the first Renton town offices, which were in a grocery store. Then Mr Monkey ordered a taxi to West Seattle.
