Mr Monkey in Seattle, 29th January

"Well, they had to get out somewhere"

Mr Monkey looking toward the Seattle Aquarium Mr Monkey looking at the Great White Fleet plaque

Mr Monkey trotted down the Pike Place Hill Climb, and crossed the street to the waterfront. He scampered up and down a little, inspecting the Seattle Aquarium from a distance, and looking at a plaque that told him that he was at almost the very spot the crews of part of the Great White Fleet disembarked at in 1908.

You can see maps and postcards relating to the 46,000 mile round the world trip of the U.S. Navy's battleships at William Stewart's Great White Fleet website.
