Mr Monkey visits Fremont, 30th January

"We'd never fit it in the suitcase"

Mr Monkey scurried along the street until he came to the statue of Lenin. This was created by Emil Venkov, put up in Poprad, Slovakia, in 1988, knocked down during the 1989 revolution, and brought to Fremont by Lewis Carpenter. Apparently it's for sale. Mr Monkey ran down a different street and found the Fremont Center of the Universe signpost. Actually, he walked past it once, because he hadn't expected the centre of the universe to be a small traffic island. He wasn't sure the signpost was totally useful.
