Mr Monkey visits Fremont, 30th January

"Apparently you're allowed to dress the passengers"

Mr Monkey looking at Waiting For The Interurban Mr Monkey outside the History House

Mr Monkey trotted down N 34th Street until he found a statue called Waiting for the Interurban, which depicts passengers waiting for the Seattle-Everett Interurban light rail service (which stopped running in 1939). It's usually nearer to the Fremont Bridge but while that's having things done to it the statue is living next to the History House. Mr Monkey would have visited the History House to learn more about the history of Seattle, but it was closed.

You can read about the actual Interurban at the Online Encyclopedia of Washington State History and about the museum at the History House website.
