Mr Monkey planned to spend Wednesday in Tacoma, so he scurried down to Second Avenue to wait for the Sound Transit Express Bus 594. While he was waiting for the bus, he amused himself by looking down Second Avenue at the Dexter Horton Building. Dexter Horton came to Seattle in 1853, accidentally became the first banker in the city, and owned the first store to be built and occupied after the great 1889 fire.
