The Norcliffe Foundation Living Room also has a seating area around some plants, and some carpets with a plant-like pattern. Mr Monkey was less impressed by the carpet than the real plants. The south facing windows have a metal mesh inserted in the glass units which reduces the glare from the direct sunlight. The library was the first building in the United States to use the metal mesh glass.
