To get to the canal, Mr Monkey had to scamper through the Romiley Board Mill factory. When Mr Rik was much younger this was called the Textile Paper Tube, and seemed to catch fire fairly regularly. Mr Monkey was very careful to avoid the vans and fork lift trucks moving paper around, and soon was able to look down onto the Peak Forest Canal.
