Mr Monkey found a place to sit near the launch pad for the Ariane 5 rocket. Designed by the European Space Agency, Ariane 5 can take off with a 12,000 kg satellite and leave it in orbit. Mr Monkey waited until a countdown started, then watched as the rocket started smoking and then shot up into to the sky. Well, towards the sky, anyway. Then Mr Monkey scampered off to look at Melk abbey in Austria, on a rocky crag overlooking the Danube.
