Mr Monkey heard singing coming from Level 1, and realised that he was hearing and seeing an extract from Roger McKinley's Jackson Pollock - the Musical. The rest of the performance took place downstairs, with Lee Krasner (played by Jo Mousley) having to run all the way down the stairs to be in the right place to remind Jackson Pollock (played by Leigh Symonds) that he was an artist, which apparently meant he was allowed to throw flour and canvas around the kitchen.
