Mr Monkey looked around the last room, the 1940's bedroom. He decided it was the plainest room he'd seen in the house, probably because in the 20th century it wasn't respectable to conduct business from your bedroom any more. Mr Monkey was impressed by the size and clunkiness of the hair drier on the dressing table. He listened to a speech by Winston Churchill on the big radio, then left Staircase House.
