Mr Monkey follows the Siege of Ostende historic walk, 14th September

"I wonder how they forgot to demolish this too?"

Mr Monkey scampered along Kerkstraat until he came to Saint Peter's Tower, behind the cathedral. The square base of this tower is only building left over from pre-siege Ostende. Another church was built around it, but burned down later. Mr Monkey was intrigued by the Crucifixion scene with the carved curtains at the base of the tower, even though there wasn't any explanation of it. The tower is usually called the Peperbusse now, even on the official signposts.
