Mr Monkey visits the Japanese Garden in Ostende, 15th September

"That bridge didn't even have handrails"

Halfway along the walkway Mr Monkey spotted the yotsumegaki, a special sort of fence used in Japanese gardens to mark a change in use or function. At the end of the walkway he stopped to admire the reflection of the rankei lantern in the pond, and to marvel at his own bravery in crossing the lake by plank.
