Mr Monkey's Bruges canal trip, 16th September

"We're not dawdling, you know"

Mr Monkey travelling up the Spiegelrei after looking at the back of Jan Van Eyck Mr Monkey looking at the Carmersstraat bridge

The boat set off along beside the Steenhouwersdijk, and turned left at the junction, and left again, until it arrived behind a statue of Jan Van Eyck. The boat had to turn round at that point because it had run out of canal, and headed back to its starting point. Bruges canal boats move quite fast, and the commentary was given in four languages, so quite often Mr Monkey only knew what he was approaching after he'd gone past it.
