Mr Monkey inspected a collection of 21 models of ships of many types, then came to a section on submarines. He was interested in a selection of drawings of mostly impractical designs for submarines from the 18th and 19th centuries. Mr Monkey thought most of the designs would have produced submarines that would have been good at going under water, but not so good at coming up again. Then he read some displays about how real submarines work.
