Mr Monkey aboard the West-Hinder II lightship, 17th September

"It'd keep the neighbours awake if they left it on"

Mr Monkey scampered onto the deck of the West-Hinder II lightship. This was Belgian lightship number 2 and served in rotation with two other lightships on the Wandelaar and West-Hinder stations; it's called the West-Hinder now because that's where it was serving when it was taken out of service. Mr Monkey looked up at the light which was 14 metres above and would be visible for 12.4 sea miles if it had been switched on. Then he followed the signs leading him across the deck.
