Mr Monkey in London, 2nd October

"It's an interesting place, you know"

Mr Monkey scampered along Theobald Road and Clerkenwell Road until he came to St John's Gate. He visited the museum of the Order of St John, housed in all that remains of a 10 acre priory that was the English headquarters of the Knights Hospitallers. Mr Monkey learned about the history of the medieval order and how it turned into the modern St John Ambulance organisation, but he wasn't allowed to take any pictures.

You can read about the museum at the St John Ambulance website.
