Mr Monkey in London, 4th October

"It's an excellent device, you know"

Mr Monkey looking at the reading room of the British Museum Mr Monkey examining an orrery in the British Museum

Mr Monkey scampered along to the British Museum. The reading room in the Central Court had been converted into a display space housing the First Emperor exhibition and Mr Monkey was interested to see that the windows had been covered from the inside. Mr Monkey thought it looked a little sinister. Then he went into the King's reading room where he inspected an orrery built in 1750 as a replica of George II's grand orrery. He thought it was a shame that the orrery wasn't working and showing him the movements of the solar system.
