The tour began at the top of the auditorium, in the gallery. Mr Monkey was really impressed by the devices installed to produce perfect acoustics in the auditorium, including adjustable panels around the walls, a ceiling made of concrete panels suspended from the cast iron roof, and devices in the seats which mean they have the same acoustic signature whether or not someone is sitting there.
