Mr Monkey in London, 10th January

"On the whole, I think it's better not painted green"

Mr Monkey examining the Gayer-Anderson cat Mr Monkey in the great Court of the British Museum

Mr Monkey had a timed ticket for the First Emperor exhibition, but he had arrived a bit early. He had a look at Divine Cat, a temporary display about a bronze cat from Egypt that was once owned (and painted green) by Major Gayer-Anderson. After looking at x-rays of the cat, Mr Monkey scampered off to the Great Court of the museum.

You can read about the Gayer-Anderson cat at the British Museum website.
