Trotting up to the Sickert exhibition on the top floor Mr Monkey was interested to spot a smaller and less impressive staircase beside the fine not-quite-spiral main staircase. He supposed that it was for servants, and the windows were there so that the bosses on the main stairs could make sure the servants weren't dawdling. At the top of the stairs, Mr Monkey peered over the bannisters, as you do.
