Mr Monkey in London, 13th January

Sunday
All Mr Monkey had to do on Sunday was go to Euston station and catch a train home. Before he did that, he scampered down to the Embankment to look at the memorial plaques on either side of the Hungerford bridges. On one side the memorial is to Joseph Bazalgette, who invented the sewers of London and the Embankment itself, and on the the other side the memorial is to W.S. Gilbert, who wrote the words for Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas.
