Mr Monkey scampered through a little gate into the garden, and went around to see the east front of the house. The semi-circular bay sticking out in the middle was built in 1822 as part of the installation of a new dining room. He went on a little further and looked at the north front, which is more or less as it was originally built in the 1730s if you ignore the paler addition on the right that was needed to illuminate a dining room added in 1905 when they realised the 1822 dining room was too far from the kitchen.
