Outside Urbis Mr Monkey found that, because the 9th FINA World Swimming Championships were being held in Manchester, the Millennium Gardens had been temporarily renamed Championship Square and had been filled with trade stands, a giant packet of cornflakes, and a stage. Mr Monkey listened to a band whose name he can't find out (which is a shame because he enjoyed them), gave his free bottle of Yakult to Mr Rik, didn't buy a camera, and then set off to see Beth Essex at the MCDC.
