Mr Monkey in Bath, 2nd June

"Let's not get too close to the fountaining part"

Mr Monkey spotted the tower of Bath Abbey over the buildings of Terrace Walk, and scampered onto Terrace Walk Island. He admired the rather faded glory of the Bacchus drinking fountain. Built in 1859, this used to be in Stall Street, and was moved at a cost of £66,000, plus an extra £2000 to repair the bits damaged during the move.
