At the other side of the square from the Týn church Mr Monkey examined the Staromĕstská radnice (Old Town Hall). This started as a much smaller building in the fourteenth century and got bigger by swallowing the buildings around it. Mr Monkey had a look at the astronomical clock on the side of the tower. It's supposed to do something exciting on the hour, but it doesn't do it at night.
