Inside the Dockyard Mr Monkey wondered if Admiral John Benbow had always looked as startled as he appeared as the figurehead of HMS Benbow. Further on, Mr Monkey saw the M33 in a dry dock. The M33 was built in 1915 to bombard coastal installations with its two 6 inch guns, and is one of only two Royal Navy vessels from World War One still in one piece.
You can read about the area at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard website and about the M33 at the Hampshire County Council website.
