As the background of the Black Panther membership changed, and Californian laws made it illegal to carry weapons, parts of the organisation turned from confrontation to providing social programs, such as free breakfasts for children. Mr Monkey discovered that Emory's style changed too, becoming gentler and more realistic for the more peaceful posters.
