Mr Monkey goes from Quay to Sea, 14th December

"They didn't have listed buildings in those days"

As the boat passed under the Tyne Bridge Mr Monkey looked at the market stalls along the Quayside. After passing the place he'd started from, Mr Monkey peered up at St Ann's Church. The church was consecrated in 1768 and much of its stonework came from the city walls of Newcastle (which is why Newcastle doesn't have much in the way of city walls any more).
