Mr Monkey paused to look at the Fisherman's Memorial. Erected in memory of Fleetwood fishermen lost at sea, the memorial is made up of bits of trawler. A little further on, Mr Monkey saw the Welcome Home sculpture by Anita Lafford. This shows a fisherman's family waving to him at the end of a voyage - it was bad luck to wave goodbye to a fishing boat.
