Mr Monkey caught a train to Bath. He turned off Manvers Street and trotted to the end of South Parade to peer over the railings at the Avon. Then he admired the wide - and rather damp - pavement of Duke Street and the 222 ft high tower and spire of St John's church. The church was designed by Charles Hansom whose brother, Joseph Aloysius Hansom, invented the Hansom cab.
You can read about the church at the St John the Evangelist Catholic Church Bath website.
