Mr Monkey snoozed on the dashboard of the car and only started paying attention when the M62 took him across the border into Yorkshire. He peered out at Stott Hall Farm, which has the east-bound lanes of the M62 outside its front door, and the west-bound lanes round the back. There's a myth that the farmer made them build the road either side of the building, but it was really because the geology of the area stopped them putting the lanes closer together.
You can read about Stott Hall Farm at the BBC website.
