The sixth woodworking artist exhibiting is Audrey Hayes, who had made a striking sculpture called Florish and stools in beech, silver birch and cherry wood. All were finished by being scorched; Mr Monkey thought this made them look dramatic, but also made different woods the same colour. And when he'd decided that, it was time for Mr Monkey to scamper off for a train home.
You can read about Audrey Hayes at the Audrey Hayes Artist/Designer website.
