Mr Monkey in Ostende, 20th September

"They've rebuilt it very nicely"

Mr Monkey looking at the so-called Spanish House Mr Monkey looking at the Albertschool

Realising he had a plane to catch, Mr Monkey set off through Ostende towards the station. On the way he looked at the Spaanse Huisje (Spanish House), which was built in 1741 and has nothing to do with Spaniards at all. It was demolished, along with the apartment next door, in 1984 but rebuilt in 2000-2001 as it's a protected monument. Then he trotted past the Albertschool, built in 1908-1910.
