Mr Monkey took a bus to visit Kilmainham Gaol, which was built the 1790s but altered later. Mr Monkey was surprised by the amount of light in the Victorian cell block, which is there because they thought that a lot of light and 23 hours a day solitary confinement would stop criminals being criminal.
Of course, there's a page about Kilmainham Gaol at the Irish Architecture Online website.
