Taunton was founded by a charter in 904, which was 1100 years ago, so they're having a special Taunton 1100 celebration. The County museum has a special exhibition about the history of Taunton from prehistoric times to the 19th century. You can tell it's a special exhibition because they've been able to borrow the Codex Wintoniensis* from the British Library.
