Mr Monkey on the Embankment

"It's almost a shame we've got to go home"

Mr Monkey stood on the Embankment and looked towards Waterloo Bridge. Mr Monkey's always thought it was a bit dull, but apparently that's because it was built during the war, as an earlier version had fallen to bits. It was finished in 1945, and was known as The Ladies Bridge because of the numberr of women who worked on it. Mr Monkey was also very taken with the sturgeon lampstandards, which you can find all the way from Vauxhall Bridge to Tower Bridge.
