Mr Monkey at Eltham Palace and Hampton Court

"You have to look up, occassionally"

When Mr Monkey was walking down Aldwych, he stopped to look at India House. When there was an Empire, India was administered from here; when India became independent, India House became the Indian embassy, which was convenient. A series of roundels on the walls represent the different provinces of India - the one visible depicts Madras. A bit further down the road, Mr Monkey came to Bush House, home of the BBC's World Service, where the two figures represent the enduring friendship between Britain and America.
