Mr Monkey visits Todmorden Mills

"These are attractive buildings"

Mr Monkey wandered around the site, looking at the buildings. The railway track in front of the building with the tower told him it was probably a railroad station. He found out later that it was moved from Queen and River Streets, and was part of the unsuccessful Belt Line Railway of the 1890s. The yellow house is original to Todmorden, and it's been there since the early 1830s.

You can read a bit about the Belt Line Railway at the Lost Rivers website.
