Mr Monkey in Toronto, October 12

"It's a shame there isn't a ship there right now"

Mr Monkey passing a lock of the Welland Canal Mr Monkey going over a bumpy bit of track crossing the Welland Canal

When the train went past the locks of the Welland Canal, it got a bit more wobbly than it had been before, so Mr Monkey came out a little more blurry than he wanted to. The Welland Canal is a pretty enormous canal, cunningly built so that large ships can get from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie without going via Niagara Falls.

You can read about the canal at Professor Frank Fueten's website.
