Mr Monkey at Tavistock Square

"It's not often you see a fish holding a flag, you know"

Mr Monkey found the Dacre beasts on a short staircase. These are wooden figures which were made in 1520 to provide some heraldic decoration for Naworth Castle. They're six foot high models of the supporters of the coats of arms of the Dacre family (the bull and the gryphon) and their relations, the De Moultons (the ram) and the Greystokes (the salmon), and each holds a little heraldic flag.
