Mr Monkey in London

"It's not actually very cross shaped, you know"

Mr Monkey outside Charing Cross station

Thursday:
Mr Monkey arrived in London on Thursday morning, and made Mr Rik leave the luggage at Charing Cross station. Before leaving, he had a look at the cross marking the last place Eleanor of Castile's body stopped on the way from Lincoln to Westminster Abbey. This cross is a replica, put up in 1863, at a cost of £1800, because the original decayed and was pulled down in 1647.
