Mr Monkey in New York, February 23

"That's a very fine looking bridge indeed"

Mr Monkey looking at the Brooklyn Bridge Mr Monkey looking at Brooklyn

Mr Monkey ran to the end of Pier 17 to see the East River. He admired the elegant span of the Brooklyn Bridge. When it was built, between 1870 and 1883, it was called the East River Bridge because there was a lot of river and not much of Brooklyn. Mr Monkey looked at Brooklyn, but it wasn't as elegant as the bridge.
