This big sculpture was originally a sphere, symbolising world peace, was designed by Fritz Koenig and stood in the central plaza of the World Trade Centre for three decades. It was crushed in the September 2001 terrorist attack, but survived intact enough to be reinstalled in Battery Park, where Mr Monkey found it.
