Mr Monkey at the Musée Royal de l'Armée

"Well, it looks like a chariot to me"

Mr Monkey looking at the quadriga on top of the arch Mr Monkey looking west from the arch

Mr Monkey studied the statue on top of the arch. It looks like a chariot, but it's actually a quadriga. Quadrigas used to be used in Roman chariot racing, but if you put enough allegorical figures in them, they become symbols of peace and victory. This one represents Brabant being boss of the other eight provinces, who are hanging around the arch at ground level. Mr Monkey then looked out to the south west, hoping to see something of the EU area of Brussels.
