Victor Horta built his house and studio on two plots of land on the Rue Americane in 1898. The two buildings were sold seperately in 1919, and reconnected in 1961, and various people have been restoring it ever since. Mr Monkey enjoyed scampering around the light and airy building.
You're not allowed to take pictures inside the Horta house, so Mr Monkey posed in front of pictures in the excellent guide book. The first picture shows the bel étage, whatever one of those is, and the second the dining room.
You can read about the Horta Museum at the Musée Horta website.
