When he got home on Sunday afternoon, Mr Monkey dragged all his new books outside, and divided them into the ones he'd bought or got in a goodie bag, and the six books (the shortlist for the Theakstons prize) he won for coming second in the quiz. Then he realised it was foolish keeping books in the back garden, what with all that weather, and took them back inside to settle down and read.
