In the courtyard outside the museum, Mr Monkey inspected the 49.6 metre long submarine, which is resting on concrete blocks to stop it running into the mine someone has carelessly left in front of it. The crane in front of the conning tower was used for retrieving practice torpedoes, and the teeth at the front were intended to break ice in the frozen Scandinavian waters.
