As well as traditional Swedish buildings, the Skansen has some traditional Swedish animals. Some of the creatures, such as the wolves, and the lynx, were hiding from the rain, and the otters and seals stayed underwater, but Mr Monkey was able to see an elk (or moose), and some bears that were too sleepy to get out of the rain. The elk (or moose) is lying in a carefully chosen place just out of reach of all the small children who wanted to stroke it.
